Excerpts from our conversations with David Brown, the BoundlessGallery.com March 2007 Artist of the Month:

BG: When did you get your start as an artist?

DB:  I have been a photographer for as long as I can remember but I have only been painting for about six years.  I haven’t done photography in a while, it was good while I was learning but doing weddings and portraits became tedious. Started painting one Halloween night when I felt inspired.  I stopped by an art shop and bought the paints and brushes then went home and improvised a landscape.

BG: So were you a natural?

DB: Oh no, it was nowhere near my best work but I have spent a lot of time since then learning through hard work and experimentation...
